Dear citizens of the Municipality of North Mitrovica who have not made a request for registration of the immovable property you own, or the new property you have entered into possession of, according to the public notice dated 09.10.2024, through this reminder letter we inform you that within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the public notice of the reminder letter or if you have received a reminder letter on the immovable property you own or possess, you must report at:
Property Tax Office in the Municipality of North Mitrovica, on the ground floor with the address of the Municipality “Bosnian neighborhood” Mitrovica North.
Remark:
Based on Article 35 of Law 06/L-005 on Immovable Property Tax, if you do not comply with the reminder letter within the legally prescribed deadline, you will be fined in an amount equal to thirty percent (30%) of the assessed tax in the following year.
Also, based on the Law on Immovable Property Tax, other fines are imposed on taxpayers as follows:
• For taxpayers who refuse inspection, a fine is imposed in the amount of 30% of the assessed tax in the following year.
• For taxpayers who do not declare changes in immovable property, a fine is imposed in an amount equal to twice the assessed tax derived from the difference between the new assessed value and the old value.
• A taxpayer who declares two (2) or more residential units of the facility as his primary residence shall be imposed a fine of 100 Euros.
• A taxpayer who fails to pay the immovable property tax on or before the last date for payment shall be imposed a fine in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the unpaid tax installment
