Biography of the Deputy Mayor of North Mitrovica Municipality
Adrijana Hodžić was born on February 21, 1975 in Mitrovica. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown.
He received his higher education at the University of Pristina and the University of Belgrade. He completed his basic and master’s studies in physiotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Prishtina, while at the Faculty of Economics and Administration, University of Belgrade, he graduated in accounting and auditing.
She began her professional career in 1999 at the international humanitarian organization “Première Urgence”, where she worked as a project manager and then as regional director for Mitrovica.
From 2003 to 2004, she worked as a project assistant at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Pristina, engaging in supporting businesses in minority communities and managing project budgets.
From 2010 to 2012, she served as the team leader for the preparation of the Municipality of North Mitrovica, while from 2012 to 2019, she was the executive director of the Administrative Office of North Mitrovica.
From April 2019 to February 2020, she served as Minister of Local Government Administration in the Government of Kosovo.
At the local level, from December 2020 to March 2023 she was the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of North Mitrovica. From April 2023 to December 2025, she served as the Director of the “Jelena Anzujska” Foundation, while in December 2025 she was reappointed as Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of North Mitrovica.
He is fluent in Serbian, Albanian and English, and has excellent computer skills.
