Biography of the Mayor of North Mitrovica Municipality

Milan Radojević was born in 1982 in Mitrovica. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown, and graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Pristina.

He began his professional career in the field of security and justice. From 2005 to 2015, he served as the director of the Detention Unit in North Mitrovica, where at the age of 22 he became the youngest director of a detention facility in Europe.

In 2015, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs in the Government of Kosovo, a position he held for several consecutive terms. During this period, he also served as Kosovo’s National Coordinator for Combating Narcotics, Human Trafficking and Community Security.

In the local elections held in November 2020 and October 2021, Milan Radojević was elected Mayor of the Municipality of North Mitrovica. In the elections held in December 2025, he again won the trust of the citizens and was re-elected Mayor of the Municipality of North Mitrovica.
